Here's the latest rod fresh off the dryer! It's a Rainshadow RX8 XSB822.5 with spiraled Fuji titanium 3.5 micro guides, a minima reel seat, and Gudebrod metallic lime green & pewter thread.

Snorkeling in Lake Travis!!

Rachel and I went on a little snorkeling/fishing trip this afternoon. I took some pics of these little fish I've been trying to ID:

After some asking around, I figured out that they are Texas Logperch. Cool little fish!

I also found a Rio Grande Cichlid:

And some bass:

I ended up fishing a little right before dark and caught 2 pretty decent bass on a white fluke. Great time on the water! Four new rods coming soon, stay tuned!!

Lake Travis - 6/3/10

I hit lake Travis for a few hours this afternoon and decided to concentrate on marinas only. I fished a white fluke, a white spinnerbait, and a 3" swimbait in Easy street marina and Jones Harbor marina. I ended up with 7 bass with 2 keepers. Nothing picture worthy, but it was a pretty fun trip....
